You can play to your hearts content in MoBay! There are endless opportunities to do whatever you want to do- Horseback Riding, Zip Lining, Diving, Snorkeling, Sailing, Deep Sea Fishing, River Rafting, just to name a few.


Chukka Adventures

Chukka Adventures, has numerous tours ranging from horseback riding, zip lining, ATV Quad Safari and their new destination, Good Hope Adventure Park & Falls. They have most any adventure activity you will want.



Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville

Jimmy Buffett’s Margariaville is a fantastic place for kids and adults alike. It features a giant waterslide and an assortment of trampolines and other activities right on the water. The Montego Bay restaurant is just a short drive from the villa.



The Rose Hall Great House

The Rose Hall Great House is steeped in history. From its glory days as one of the top sugar plantations on the island to a more storied past being the home of the infamous Annie Palmer, the White Witch of Rose Hall. There is a daily tour and a nightly tour for you more adventurous guests.



The Half Moon Equestrian Centre

The Half Moon Equestrian Centre, located on the east side of MoBay, is a great place for experienced riders as well as first timers.



The Doctor’s Cave Beach Club

The Doctor’s Cave Beach Club is located on the popular Hip Strip in MoBay and just a short walk from Margaritaville. The translucent water is known for its mineral content, and the world-famous white-sand beach which is clean and inviting. More than just a great beach, the food court and beach bar at Doctor’s Cave provide a variety of meals and drinks to satisfy the taste buds. There is also a convenient cyber cafe that keeps you in touch with the world.



Marlin Madness

If you are looking to do a little deep sea fishing, check out Marlin Madness, located at the Montego Bay Yacht Club. Captain Peter Charley can take you out on a half day or full day fishing trip. Fish for marlin, sailfish, wahoo, dolphin and other deep sea fish.



Captain’s Watersports & Dive Centre

Captain’s Watersports & Dive Centre is your place for scuba diving, water skiing, snorkeling, parasailing, wakeboarding, etc. PADI Scuba Diving Certification is available.



The Hard Rock Cafe

The Hard Rock Cafe is new to the area and is located in the Secrets Hotel complex. It is about a 15 minute walk from the villa, and is the closest restaurant/beach combination. Ask Annette for complimentary passes to get onto the beach.



The Shoppes at Rose Hall

What would a vacation be like without shopping? For duty free shopping, try The Shoppes at Rose Hall. Located on the east side of MoBay near the Rose Hall Estate, these shops offer most any type of jewelry, local souvenirs, Cuban cigars, etc. Bring your credit cards!



The Fairview Shopping Centre

The Fairview Shopping Centre has almost any shop you need. Department stores, pharmacies, hardware stores, etc. There are also restaurants, a movie theatre, and numerous craft markets in the area. Check with Annette and she can direct you to where to go.



The Appleton Estate Rum Tour

For a great day out of town in the parish of St. Elizabeth on Jamaica’s south coast, try The Appleton Estate Rum Tour located at the famous Appleton Estate. It is currently closed for remodeling but will reopen in November 2017.



The YS Waterfalls

The YS Waterfalls is a “natural adventure.” A magnificent 7 tiered waterfall fed by underground springs, spectacular views await you on this trip. This waterfall is arguably more spectacular and less crowded than Dunn’s River Falls.



The Black River Safari

The Black River Safari traverses the Black River on the south coast. This river is Jamaica’s largest navigable river and is one of the country’s best natural habitats for tropical flora and fauna. Enjoy a trip down the river and experience the marriage of ecology, history and the most famous residents- the endangered crocodiles.



Negril

Negril is another tourist destination about an hour and a half from the villa. Seven miles of white sand beach along with breathtaking cliffs make Negril a great destination for the day. Stop at Jimmy Buffett’s Margariaville and use it as your base while on the beach. Just down the road is Rick’s Cafe, where you can dine at the restaurant, swim in the pool or for the more adventurous, jump off the cliffs into the sea. Rick’s is known for its great sunsets, but I will have to say the sunsets at AT LAST are just as good!



Martha Brae River

On the east side of Montego Bay, you can go river rafting on the Martha Brae River near the town of Falmouth. Float down the Martha Brae on bamboo rafts with a rum drink or a cold Red Stripe as your guide directs you down the river. A little bit further east is Ocho Rios, where you will find the world famous Dunn’s River Falls. The falls are great for all ages.


Golf


This list would not be complete without listing a few of the world class golf courses in the Montego Bay Area.


Cinnamon Hill Golf Course at Rose Hall & The White Witch Golf Course at Rose Hall

Cinnamon Hill Golf Course at Rose Hall & The White Witch Golf Course at Rose Hall are von Hagge, Smelek & Baril designed courses. These courses used to be a sprawling sugar cane plantation and is a must play for golfers of all abilities. These courses are located on the east side of MoBay and are just a short drive from the villa.



The Half Moon Golf Club

The Half Moon Golf Club is also located on the east side of town and is a Robert Trent Jones & Roger Rulewich designed course that opened in 1961. Due to the difficult, yet playable nature, it is a very popular destination for golfers.



The Tryall Club Golf Course

Last, but certainly not least, is The Tryall Club Golf Course. Located in Tryall, west of MoBay, it is challenging and beautiful with a fascinating heritage. Designed by Ralph Plummer, who utilized the estates unique topography, it is one of the Caribbean’s finest courses.
